Architectural features of the Crane Village include cobblestone Streets, gable roofs, wooden shutters, ornate fretwork, lime stonewalls and verandas. The Crane is nearing completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation and expansion that includes two pergolas flanking the property's entrance, two new flood-lit tennis courts and a beach elevator as an alternative to the 99 steps descending to Crane Beach. The resort will add garden residence suites before the end of 2009, bringing it's total room inventory to 220.
